Discovering Krakow and Polish cuisine…

In the morning our local English-speaking guide will walk you through the marvellous historical city center of Cracow (4 hours), to see among others the old Jewish quarter, Wawel – the royal castle hill and old market square, among others. Later on, you will also visit the Bagel Museum, where you will prepare this delicious cracovian specialty with your own hands by yourself (1h30). In the afternoon, more focus on the food! Guided food tour of Cracow will not only give you the unique opportunity to taste the well-known, most important regional snacks and dishes, but also learn about the symbolic meaning of different food in Polish history (2h, this part is optional and depends on your interest in joining the extra afternoon trip). Day ends with the exceptional cultural experience – a typical Polish dinner with a traditional folk dance show.

Ojców National Park

Only an hour drive from the busy and always vibrant Cracow, you will discover today yet another aspect of the Małopolska region – the Ojców National Park. In a company of our local English-speaking guide you will see various forms of limestone of which the Park is best known (4 hours easy walk). You will breathe fresh air while following the Eagle Trail, where you will visit several castles, including the best known, in Pieskowa Skała, and listen to tales about the Polish kingdom times. In the afternoon after your returning to Cracow, you will have some free time to shop or rest. In the evening, you will enjoy a typical Polish dinner in a nice Polish restaurant in the city center. Smacznego!

Discovering Krakow and Polish cuisine…

Today after breakfast you transfer to with our driver to Zakopane, capital of Polish Tatra mountains (2h30). On the way to Podhale region, you will make a few stops to visit famous churches of this mountain region – the pearls of wood architecture.

In the afternoon, after checking in, our English-speaking local guide will show you the most beautiful monuments of Zakopane including the Villa Koliba as well as the Tatra and mountain culture museum. You will surely notice that Zakopane is a small town where traditions are deeply rooted in Polish culture, with magnificent mountain landscapes visible from the city streets, including summit of Gubałówka and the rocky peaks of the Tatras which surround Zakopane. Take Krupówki street to explore the city centre with mountain chalets of typical wood architecture and enter the charming cemetery of meritorious people at Pęksowy Brzyzek.

In Zakopane, people speak freely, dance longer and laugh louder – in the evening you may experience that in one of regional taverns with live montagnards music.

Mountain trekking in the Koscieliska Valley

Today is a perfect day to explore one of the most beautiful valley of the Tatras, the Kościeliska Valley (9 km long / 5-6h). Not only can you take a deep breath and feel the fresh mountain air, but also, accompanied by our local guide, you can discover more Podhale legends and tales.

Located in the Tatra National Park, the Kościeliska Valley was the favourite place for treasure hunting. At the end of the walk, you will reach a mountain shelter where it is possible to stay longer and have lunch. If you’d be still willing for more physical effort, this is also a great spot to prolong the trip and continue to one of the surrounding peaks – we will advise you on the individual basis upon your
interest.

After returning to Zakopane, you will have a dinner in a regional restaurant.

Rafting on Dunajec River

Rafting on the Dunajec river is one of the most stunning activities that you should definitely not miss. It is the most famous attraction in the region, known throughout Poland. The descent in wooden rafts is carried out by rowers in traditional
costumes and takes about 2 hours. Winding through Dunajec, you will see the Pieniny National Park, with incredible mountain landscapes and the haunted castle of Niedzica, that you will visit afterwords.

Once this adventure ended, you leave the Podhale region to go back to Cracow where you will spend the evening in a nice local restaurant.

Jewish tradition and culture in Cracow

Today you will visit the Jewish district Kazimierz and its famous Remuh cemetery (2h). Next, a trip to the past with an English-speaking guide who will help you discover the evil of the horrible period of the Second World War, but also the dramatic story of Oskar Schindler (the visit at Oskar Schindler Museum lasts about 1.5 hours).

The afternoon is at your disposal: it's your free time for shopping before your departure the next day.

In the evening we invite you to the restaurant located in the heart of the Jewish quarter to try some of the finest specialties of the Polish and Jewish cuisine and listen to a live klezmer music concert.

Goodbye!

It’s your last day in Cracow… After a short break for the last walk or shopping (depending on the time of your flight), our driver will take you to the airport. Even if your stay this time is over, remember that you are always welcomed in Poland!
